HISTORY
Following the pattern of US Battleship design this class went to four triple turrets from the five twins of the New Mexicos. Speed was increased but they maintained the focus on firepower and armour. With the completion of these ships the US was in a commanding position.  Except, when the British commisoned the Vanguard.
