HISTORY
This six ships were designed in early 1925 when the German Navy was allowed to replace the Deutschland-class pre-dreadnaughts.  Four were laid down and completed with 16", against the Treaty of Versailes.   Another two were laid down in American yards and completed ni 1931 adn 1932.
